This Wednesday, the documentary film Les Potagistes is being released in Brussels. It tells the story of an urban garden under threat, that very garden which is the subject of my photo essay Vanishing Gardens. Beyond the preservation of these types of sites, Pascal Haass’s film illustrates a vastly more significant issue, a theme central to our society : the difficulty, for a small group of citizens, of exercising their democratic rights against the Authority. It’s fresh, endearing, poetic, funny and thought-provoking. Be sure not to miss it !
Courez-y !
