The idea was an audacious one: show the movie Michel Vaillant where it was shot 13 years ago. A giant-sized screen down on the racetrack of the 24 Hours and, on the mythical straightway in front of the pitlane no less, the loveliest of the American beauties in a drive-in formation. Counting the stands and the chairs set out on the asphalt, a total of 3000 spectators experienced the intense emotion of a film shown in its own decor. Chalk up another episode in the legend of Le Mans.
L’idée était audacieuse : projeter le film « Michel Vaillant » à l’endroit où il fut tourné il y a treize ans. Ecran géant sur la piste des 24 Heures et, dans la mythique ligne droite des stands, les plus belles américaines disposées en « drive-in ». En comptant les tribunes et les chaises posées sur le bitume, ce fut un total de trois mille spectateurs qui vécurent l’émotion intense d’un film projeté dans son propre décor. Un épisode de plus dans la légende du Mans.
