At Powerscourt Gardens, on the outskirts of Dublin, I stopped at the grave of Eugenie, who had died at the age of seventeen. She had given birth seventeen times and had given Ireland four hundred thousand litres of milk. Not bad, even for a cow.

Au cimetière de Powerscourt, près de Dublin, je me suis arrêté sur la tombe d’Eugénie, décédée à l’âge de dix-sept ans. Elle avait donné dix-sept fois la vie et quatre cent mille litres de lait. Pas mal, même pour une vache.
