I did my first photo shoot with model when I was 13 years old, in 1974. My father was to start up a new series of comic strips, devoted to motorcycling and whose heroine would be: Julie Wood. For his drawings, he needed photos of a tall beautiful blonde on a motorbike, and in different positions. With my Kodak Instamatic which I had received for my birthday, I of course volunteered for the job. The Belgian pilot Philippe Chaltin supplied us with the model and the motorbike, a dazzling Kawasaki Z900. With my father’s convertible in the background, this photo embodies everything which made my generation dream on. Not bad, the ‘70s, uh ?
Mon premier shooting avec modèle date de mes 13 ans, en 1974. Mon père va démarrer une nouvelle série de bande dessinée, consacrée cette fois à la moto et dont le héros sera une héroïne : Julie Wood. Pour les dessins, il a besoin de photos d’une belle et grande blonde sur une moto et dans différentes positions. Armé du Kodak Instamatic reçu pour mon anniversaire, je me porte volontaire pour la prise de vue. C’est le pilote belge Philippe Chaltin qui met à disposition le modèle, et la moto, une rutilante Kawasaki Z900. Avec le cabriolet de mon père en fond, cette photo synthétise tout ce qui a fait rêver ma génération. Les seventies, c’était quand même pas si mal.
