To each his Darth Vader. This black shadow, whether hovering or hurtling along, always on your tail. It’s a demon that, sooner or later, must be dealt with. Mine is called The Leader. He’s expecting me right there on the cusp of my next scenario. He has never been grimmer. My only light sabre: a fountain pen. But pens can kill. All it takes is courage. My hesitation makes him sneer. Can I kill off a character created by my own father?
À chacun son Darth Vador. Cette ombre noire, qu’elle plane ou qu’elle fonce, ne vous lâche pas. C’est un démon qu’il faut, tôt ou tard, affronter. Le mien s’appelle Leader. Il m’attend là, au seuil de mon prochain scénario. Il n’a jamais été aussi sombre. Pour tout sabre laser, je n’ai qu’un stylo-plume. Mais on peut tuer avec un stylo. Tout ce que ça demande, c’est du courage. Mon hésitation le fait ricaner. Puis-je tuer un personnage créé par mon propre père ?
