Romane and Inès sticking out tongues at each other behind the curtain of the photobooth. From Willy Michel to Roland Topor, not to mention Andy Warhol, the intimacy of this magical cabin has pushed more than one to commit extravagances. Techniques have evolved but the shiver remains the same, if the number of phone calls to the parent company is anything to go by. Most of them are from clients desperately trying to recuperate the negatives from photos taken the night before. Let’s reassure them : the booths don’t keep any negatives or files. So relax, and Merry Christmas.
Romane et Inès se tirent des langues derrière le rideau du Photomaton. De Willy Michel à Roland Topor en passant par Andy Warhol, l’intimité de la cabine magique en a poussé plus d’un aux extravagances. La technique a évolué mais le frisson doit rester le même, à en croire les nombreux appels téléphoniques que reçoit la maison-mère. La plupart émane de clients voulant désespérément récupérer les négatifs de photos prises la veille. Il faut les rassurer ; les cabines ne conservent ni négatifs, ni fichiers. Relax, et joyeux Noël.
